Passion for Photography: What Inspires You?
What gets you up in the morning (other than the call of a loved one or the smell of coffee)? What fires up the imagination and gets the creative juices flowing?
Both satisfaction and success are the results of finding and nurturing “the thing” that moves you. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying:
Find a job you love, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life”.
Of course, finding and nurturing “the thing” involves plenty of hard work but the point is clear. When you love doing something it doesn’t feel like work. It’s a pleasure to do and it’s super rewarding.
For me, photography is “the thing”. I’ve had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember. I can still recall my friends saying, “Oh, here’s Kareena with her camera again.” I was always on the hunt to find beautiful things in unusual places.
Your passion gets you out of bed in a flash even on a chilly winter’s morning. Your passion allows you to put in the hard yards and burn the candle when required. It keeps you pressing forward through obstacles and barriers. During good times and tough times. Hail and storms. Your passion turns you into a force for good and you wouldn’t swap it for anything.
A Passion for Photography
There are heaps of inspirational quotes and sayings about one’s life passion, but I just love this cheeky one by Diane Arbus:
Taking pictures is like tiptoeing into the kitchen late at night and stealing Oreo cookies.”
Love it! That’s how I feel about taking photos. That captures my passion for photography so perfectly.
Capturing precious memories—for me and for others—isn’t just a hobby or a chore for me. It’s like stealing Oreo cookies in the middle of the night. 😊
Every session I have with a client allows me to express my passion in creating beautiful art that can be cherished as keepsakes for a lifetime.
Perhaps you’re expecting or looking for a newborn or baby photographer? If so, it would be both an honour and joy to serve you.
If you’re shopping around for a local photographer in Adelaide, can I share one piece of advice with you? Ensure you pick someone who is absolutely passionate about what they do. Because you can’t put a price on passion.
