August highlights

For the month of August Highlights I have chosen, Amelia and Harrison, A newborn session, which includes photos of baby with family and siblings and a sitter / baby session. 

Amelia was a little shy when it came to getting her photos taken, this happens sometimes, they get a little overwhelmed at being in a new space and they aren’t quite sure if they feel safe just yet. I like to be patient and just let them look around and explore their surroundings, having mum or dad tell them they are safe and ok helps too. This age in particular is so special, to capture their milestone of sitting before they are crawling means we can put them in all different poses and capture every angle and every facial expression. Like Amelia here, she adores her brother and it is written all over her little face.

Then there was Harrison with his newborn session. Harrison was very comfortable in the studio. He didn’t like much when I moved his hands but I just work with it and do as he wishes. Mum asked for all cream set ups, I was so inspired by this so I loved and revelled at the opportunity. Harrison’s big sister Mia was so excited to have a baby brother, her gorgeous curly hair just melted my heart. Capturing the closeness and connection parents have with their newborn is so important, when these photos are printed on the wall the children will forever see the love and safety they feel whenever they are around their parents.
